I am currently serving in my first term a State Representative in Pennsylvania, serving the people of Allentown in the 132nd Legislative District. Prior to that, I was one of seven members of Allentown City Council.
Before my election to the House, I served as the Vice President of Member Relations and Applied Technology for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, the 9th largest Chamber in the US. In that capacity, I ran the Chamber’s Social Media platforms. I also trained small business owners to use Social Media and increase their profits.
The positives and negatives of politics and Social Media absolutely fascinate me. On one hand, it’s generated an incredible amount of good; elected officials throughout the country have used it to better connect with their constituents, increase transparency and gain positive attention for their various initiatives. On the other hand…when it gets used badly…it’s a total disaster. Those disasters will be covered in the blog.
